In the future, you’ll get a wide-variety of guests and topics, but in this episode you get to know the real me a little bit. These are just a few interesting stories that shaped me as I grew into the person you’re going to spend time with on this podcast and I hope this intro will give you a reason to come back next week.

Excerpts From the Intro:
Hello all, and welcome to Awakened Exchanges! I’m your host, Jay Rich, and this is the first episode of what I hope will be a very long run! However, before we get to our first guest in the next episode, I wanted to give you a little bit of an idea of who I am and why you should care about this podcast at all. This is probably going to be a shorter episode, but hopefully it’ll give you a reason to come back and engage in the exchange. So, with that in mind, here’s a little bit about who we are and what we’re trying to do here at Awakened Exchanges.
I have been a voracious reader and dreamer that wanted to tell meaningful stories to people, for most of my life. I didn’t do much with my B.A., despite its emphasis in screenwriting, but it did add a facet to my skill set that has served me well over the years. We will most definitely talk movies, music, UFO’s, and pop-culture, but no topic is off limits.
From there, we could end up talking about multiverse or holographic universe hypotheses. Or how about the possibility that we’re all living in a collapsing field of potential realities, and that there could be who knows how many alternate timelines that are coexisting within this spacetime! OR what if we’re actually living in a simulation, and it’s only the shared moments that need to be accounted for by the system as a whole, and therefore everyone’s perception is actually its own reality, or maybe even multiple realities. Maybe those realities can only get reconciled into ONE when each individual faces themselves and learns to get past their own fears and doubts...OR maybe that’s a bit heavy for the first few minutes of a new podcast!
Alright now, we all know that there are plenty of heavy things in this world, and when times are tough, that’s when we need to remember the good things the most. We need those light-hearted, loving kinds of things in our lives so that we can remember why we’re here in the first place. This is a world of connections and we can’t allow those connections to atrophy or else we breed fear and hate. I hope that some of the conversations we have on here help to bridge some perspectives and make even the heavy things a little lighter.
As for the future guests themselves, it’s probably going to start with a fairly eclectic group of individuals. A fair number of which will probably come from my cannabis industry connections, such as our first guest in the next episode, but I’m hoping to interview a wide range of people. I want to include many topics, from multi-generational talk, and first hand accounts from protesters, reporters, and city leaders, to occult, esoteric, philosophical, psychedelic, and metaphysical discussions. At some point, maybe I’ll even be lucky enough to interview some of the podcasters that have influenced me over the years. I hope that you will see a common thread flow through all of my exchanges here, one of humanity rising up and making this the planet what we need, not a collapsing capitalist nightmare.
Ok, from the sounds of things so far, you’ve likely figured out not only if you’re going to be interested in what we do, but also that you’re probably going to get to hear the occasional rant as well. I hope they’ll mostly be well-founded, but I will try to respond to RESPECTFUL discourse otherwise. If you can’t be respectful, don’t expect a response.
