Before we get into this weeks’ interview, once again, I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on, but we all need to get out and vote! If you want America to survive, we have a lot of work to do. Yesterday, America just got their 3rd Supreme Court Justice that was nominated by Donald Trump. That’s 3 people, and at least two of those could be considered the most controversial nominations in Supreme Court history, and they’re now in that position for life. RBG would be rolling in her grave at the Republican Party’s audacity. Telling America that 10 months was not enough to approve a nomination for Obama in an election year, but 5 weeks was plenty of time to confirm yet another a Republican nominee from the most controversial President in our nation’s history. I understand that half of you love what's been done, but if you ask yourself the question, "is it fair?” You’d be hard-pressed to give a logical reason as to why you believe it to be so. I know that we’re programmed to “win,” and it seems like it’s “win at all costs,” but have you ever asked yourselves why? What are we playing for? Who are you playing against? Why do we let both sides of the aisle pit us against one another instead of doing what’s best for all of us? And do you really think that no one born after 1962 has good ideas? The average age of the Members of the House at the start of this Congressional session was 57.8 years old. The Senators were even older, at 61.8 years. Donald Trump was already the oldest Inaugurated President when he was 70, and now we’re getting him at 74 or Biden at 78? What happened to JFK leading us towards a bold new future when he was 43 years old! JFK was 25 years old when Biden was born and frankly I’d rather have him now at 103 years old than either one of these true dinosaurs. Can’t we get some youth back in our politics? Are we trying to go back in time? Do you honestly think America was better in our past? Were things really better when we had separate drinking fountains or when our children were segregated for their education? Where is this “great America” that we’re getting back to? Would you please point it out to me so I know what we’re working towards?
Have I alienated enough people? Probably, so I guess I'll move on. Before we quickly get into the sponsors, I wanted to thank Elwin Herman for giving this wonderful interview. Her group, Seekers of the Stone, which meet at the Sacred Spiral Sanctuary in Ethel, WA, include a diverse group of people, including our former guest Shawn Shumway. They’re busy in preparation for the Samhain (Sah-wain) celebration, but she graciously made time for us this week. I hope that you find this conversation as fascinating as I did. Maybe in her next interview we can get more into the psychic phenomena and Edgar Cayce readings. Please forgive the clocks and a couple of animal interruptions, I think they’re mostly minimized.
